Refreshing a website for a bridal hairdresser.

The aim was to create a bridal hairdresser website that captures the essence of Kylie’s work and conveys the message that she offers both studio appointments and mobile hairdressing services in southwest England.

The website needed to have a professional and elegant design that appeals to brides-to-be and effectively showcases Kylie’s talent and experience.

About:

Kylie Rose is an accomplished hairdresser, specialising in both mobile and studio services, and is based in Devon, UK.

Recognised for her outstanding work, she sought a website refresh to better showcase her expertise, incorporate her awards, and reflect her unique personality.

Given the budget constraints, we focused on addressing immediate needs while ensuring scalability for future enhancements as her business continues to grow. The revamped website sets the foundation for further updates and expansion as Kylie’s business evolves.

What I did

I performed a website refresh for Kylie Rose Hair, utilising the existing theme, page builder, and WordPress setup. The main focus was on enhancing the visual and functional aspects of the website. Here’s a breakdown of the changes made:

Implemented new fonts for headers, body text, and buttons, ensuring consistency throughout the website.
Updated the color scheme to align with Kylie's logo, creating a cohesive brand identity.
Redesigned buttons with a more friendly and visible shape, improving user experience.
Added more calls-to-action (CTAs) throughout the website, making it easier for users to navigate and find relevant information.
Rewrote the copy across the website to better represent Kylie's business, showcasing her services and expertise clearly.
Created new pages dedicated to salon services and pricing information, providing a comprehensive overview for potential clients.
Integrated booking links, directing users to Kylie's Fresha booking page for convenient online appointment scheduling.
Incorporated shop links for online product purchases, allowing customers to browse and buy items directly from Kylie.
Introduced new imagery to break up text and showcase Kylie's work more effectively, enhancing the visual appeal.
Established a blog page with new posts to support search engine optimization (SEO) efforts and provide valuable content to visitors.
Highlighted awards and reviews that were previously missing, enhancing credibility and showcasing Kylie's achievements.
