Top Questions

Web Design for Creatives & Wedding Professionals

I’ve put together a list of some common questions regarding web design, my process and costs below but if you have any other questions please feel free to reach out and I’m more than happy to discuss!

How do you build your websites?

I use self-hosted WordPress to build your dream website.

With WordPress, I have full creative control and nearly limitless functionality at my fingertips. Unlike the more limited options of Squarespace and Wix, WordPress lets us truly personalise every aspect to reflect your unique style and needs. Whether you’re a wedding professional or a creative entrepreneur, we’ll build a digital space that’s as distinctive and dynamic as your work.

Do you offer ongoing support once the website is built?

Of course! After your website goes live, I won’t leave you in the dark. I’ll provide a thorough handover session to show you how to manage your new site confidently.

For the first three to seven days post-launch (depending on our project), you’ll have tech support to tackle any questions or issues that come up. After that, you can choose your own adventure: take control and manage your site yourself, or let me handle the tech side while you focus on your business.

We can agree on the level of ongoing maintenance and fees in advance. This can include everything from software and plug-in updates to security maintenance, content updates, and more. It’s all about keeping your website fresh, secure, and up-to-date, so you can keep doing what you do best!

Will you write my website content and find images for me?

It’s best if the content and imagery come from you. After all, it’s your website, so it should reflect your voice, your photos, and your branding. High-quality, professional images are key to creating a premium website that stands out so if you can afford to do so I do recommend getting a photographer to take branding image for you.

However, if you need a little help, I’ve got you covered. I can provide content and images for an additional fee or recommend top-notch copywriters and stock image websites. We can discuss all the details when we’re onboarding, ensuring your site is as captivating as your work.

How involved will I be in the process?

Designing your website is a collaborative journey. I’m here to bring your vision to life, so your involvement is crucial.

Before we start, I’ll send you onboarding information detailing what I need from you and how to provide it. We can have a call to discuss the finer details of your vision, or if you prefer, we can handle everything through email and mood-boarding.

Your website will be designed with your logo, branding, images, and text, making it uniquely yours. Throughout the project, I’ll keep you updated on progress, and there will be agreed-upon opportunities for feedback and revisions before the big launch. It’s all about creating a website that truly reflects your business.

How long will it take?

Before the project begins, we’ll dive deep into your requirements and agree on an ideal launch date. Once I receive a deposit, I’ll book you in on a date that works for both of us!

Assuming I get all the content (text, images, and details) from you according to our agreed schedule, the entire process from start to launch typically takes three to six weeks.

Where are you located?

As someone who works online, I can work with you any time, anywhere, just get in touch and we can find a time that works for both of us. (But if you’re just being curious, I call both Ireland and England my home!). Find out more about me HERE.

Do you work with international clients?

Yes, I do! I work with clients from every corner of the globe. While I’m based in Ireland, I can seamlessly collaborate with you no matter your time zone or currency.

How much do you charge?

I know it’s frustrating, but every project is unique, so each quote is customised to fit your specific needs, however you can get an idea of starting prices on my services page. No matter what, you’ll get a top-tier website that’s responsive, secure, and brimming with the functionality you require. Plus, you’ll benefit from efficient communication throughout the process and ample opportunities for revisions and feedback as outlined in your proposal. See some testimonials from previous happy clients.

If budget is on your mind, we can explore different options to find the right fit for you. Contact me for a bespoke quote, and let’s bring your vision to life!

I have a limited budget, will you still work with me?

The best way to see if a project is feasible is to let me know your budget upfront. With that information, I can advise you on the best use of your resources.

I’ll never pressure you into spending more than you can afford. Instead, I’ll offer advice and simple website options that fit within your budget. If needed, I can also provide payment plans to make things more manageable. Send me a message, and let’s chat about what’s possible for your project!

How does payment work?

If you’re happy with my proposal and want to move forward, I’ll send you an invoice with bank transfer details. A 50% upfront booking deposit is required to kick off the project, with the remaining 50% due before the final files are delivered.

I use WISE for all payments, which allows me to quote and take payments in your local currency. Alternative payment options can also be discussed.

Is my initial deposit refundable?

No, all booking deposits are non-refundable.

Your deposit secures your spot in the queue, ensuring that I can dedicate the necessary time and attention to your project. I book projects several months in advance, and this scheduling allows me to provide each client with the focus they deserve.

When you reserve a spot and then back out, it leaves an empty slot that could have been given to another client. The deposit ensures that clients are committed to moving forward with their projects.

If a booking deposit is not paid upfront you will not be booked in.

What if i want more revisions than what we have agreed?

I want you to be thrilled with your final product. If you need more revisions than what we initially agreed upon, we can definitely discuss it.

The cost will depend on the type and extent of the revisions required and how long they will take to implement. Please note that significant or late revisions that change the project scope may also push back our agreed-upon launch date, as extra time will be needed to design and apply these changes.

Why should I outsource my web design instead of doing it myself?

There can be a certain appeal to doing it yourself, but designing a website can be a time consuming and costly project if it isn’t in your area of expertise.

The time you might spend learning design tools, building your website and troubleshooting errors could wind up costing you more in lost business revenue than the cost of someone doing it for you.

A website is one of the most important tools for your business, but if building that website distracts you from running and growing your business you should seriously consider outsourcing your web design.

Where do I start?

Fill in the contact form and I will email you within 24 hours.

I will send you a questionnaire to fill in with as much detail as possible about your business, brand and goals for your website.

When this is completed and sent back we can book in a free 30 minute call or continue the conversation through email to discuss in more detail.

After I have all the information I need, I will send you a proposal detailing what I will provide to you and the price.

Once you have signed the proposal and paid your first invoice (50% of the project price) I can get to work on designing your dream website!
