FAQs
There can be a certain appeal to doing it yourself, but designing a website can be a time consuming and costly project if it isn’t in your area of expertise.
The time you might spend learning design tools, building your website and troubleshooting errors could wind up costing you more in lost business revenue than the cost of someone doing it for you.
A website is one of the most important tools for your business, but if building that website distracts you from running and growing your business you should seriously consider outsourcing your web design.
Before the project begins we will discuss your requirements in detail and agree an ideal launch date. Once I have received a deposit from you, I can get to work.
If I have all the content (text, images, details) I require from you on the dates set out in the proposal, it will take on average three to six weeks from start to launch.
I am designing a website for you and your business so it is totally collaborative.
Before the project starts I’ll send you onboarding information where you will find out what I need from you and how to provide the information. We can have a call together to discuss all the finer details of what you want your website to look like and how we will get there, or if you prefer we can do it all through email and mood-boarding.
The website will be designed with your logo, branding, images and text so it is totally personalised to your business.
Throughout the project I will keep you up to date on progress and there will be agreed opportunities for feedback and to make revisions before launch.
I use a platform called WordPress to develop my websites.
WordPress gives me full control of the website with virtually unlimited functionality. It allows more flexibility, with options that the likes of Squarespace and Wix just don’t allow you to do. Here we can really personalise and make a website your own.
I want you to be happy with your end product. If you need more revisions than what is outlined in the project scope this is something that we can absolutely discuss.
The price will depend on the type of revisions required and how long it takes to implement them. It’s important to note that late or large revisions that change the project scope may push back the launch date discussed as it will take time to design and apply these changes.
Of course! After the website launches and is live, I want to make sure that you are comfortable running your website and keeping it up to date. Before the website goes live I will do a handover which will show you how to manage your website once its live.
Once the website goes live there will be 3 days of email support to answer any questions and troubleshoot any issues that may appear.
After these 3 days you can continue to manage the website yourself or if you choose, you can leave the tech stuff to me and focus on your growing business.
The level of ongoing maintenance and fees will be agreed in advance and can include anything from software and plug-in updates, maintaining security, adding or updating content or inventory, performing general updates, etc.
As someone who works online, I can work with you any time, anywhere, just get in touch and we can find a time that works for both of us. (But if you’re just being curious, I call both Ireland and England my home!). Find out more about me HERE.
Yes I do, I work with clients from every part of the globe. I am currently based in Ireland but can work with any time zone and currency.
I know it’s frustrating but every project is different so therefore every quote is different. Regardless of the project you will get a premium website developed that is responsive, secure and has the functionality you require. You also get efficient communication throughout the process and the opportunity for revisions and feedback as laid out in your proposal.
If you are worried about budget, we can talk through alternatives to find the right option for you. Contact me for a bespoke quote today.
If you are happy with my proposal and want to go ahead with my services I will send you and invoice with bank transfer details. You will be required to pay 50% up front before I start the project and then 50% prior to the delivery of the final files when the project is completed.
I use WISE for all payments, which allows me to quote and take payments in your local currency. Alternative payment options can also be discussed.
No. All deposits are non-refundable as it is my way of securing your spot in the queue. I book projects several months ahead of time, and scheduling ensures that I give all of my clients the proper amount of time that a project deserves. As a result, I turn away clients for your reserved time slot. If you back out of the project, you may leave an empty spot that could have been given to another project. The deposits ensure that clients are serious about moving forward with the project.
In terms of budget, the easiest way to find out if a project is possible, is to let me know what your budget is. If I know your budget, I can advise the best use of your resources.
I will never try to pressure you in to spending more than you can afford but I can offer advice and simple website options if you’re budget does not allow for everything. I can also offer payment plans if required. Send me a message and we can have a chat about what is possible.
It’s best if the content and imagery come from you. It is your website so it should have your text, your photos and your branding. The images should be professional quality if you want a premium website.
Of course if you do not have any of these things I can supply them to you for an extra fee, or I can recommend some copywriting and excellent stock image websites for you to use. This is all something that we can discuss on our call.
Fill in the contact form and I will email you within 24 hours.
I will send you a questionnaire to fill in with as much detail as possible about your business, brand and goals for your website.
When this is completed and sent back we can book in a free 30 minute call or continue the conversation through email to discuss in more detail.
After I have all the information I need, I will send you a proposal detailing what I will provide to you and the price.
Once you have signed the proposal and paid your first invoice (50% of the project price) I can get to work on designing your dream website!
